A Fuzzy Logic Based Multiple Reference Model Adaptive Control

چکیده
This paper presents a fuzzy logic approach for switching multiple reference models, within the Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) framework, in response to major changes in the plant operating conditions. Following a rule base, the fuzzy switching scheme effectively monitors changes in operating conditions or such drastic changes in plant. A fuzzy inference engine then fires appropriate rules, which gives a fuzzified output value. Defuzzification is then performed to switch the reference model in a predefined domain. The whole process is conducted on line, monitoring the plant auxiliary inputs at selected control intervals. The main contribution of the paper is that the proposed fuzzy switching scheme can be performed online and is very well suitable for multi modal jump systems. Unlike, static multiple model algorithms for switching (non-interacting individual model-based filters) or switching dynamic algorithms (susceptible to numerical overflow), this scheme provides an interactive multiple model environment with soft switching. The scheme is computationally feasible, effective and efficient. The proposed scheme is applied to an example system with disturbed model parameters to show its effectiveness.

متن کاملSensorless Model Reference Adaptive Control of DFIG by Using High Frequency Signal Injection and Fuzzy Logic Control
In this paper, a new sensorless model reference adaptive method is used for direct control of active and reactive power of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). In order to estimate the rotor speed, a high frequency signal injection scheme is implemented. In this study, to improve the accuracy of speed estimation, two methods are suggested. First, the coefficients of proportional-integral ...

This paper suggests novel sensorless speed estimation for an induction motor (IM) based on a stator current model reference adaptive system (IS-MRAS) scheme. The IS-MRAS scheme uses the error between the reference and estimated stator current vectors and the rotor speed. Observing rotor flux and the speed estimating using the conventional MRAS technique is confronted with certain problems relat...

This paper presents a novel Fuzzy Multiple Reference Model Adaptive Controller (FMRMAC) for systems that are multi modal in nature and show scheduled ‘Jumps’ in their operation. The proposed scheme incorporates a fuzzy logic switching method in the Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) framework without any explicit identifier. The fuzzy switching scheme produces a ‘soft’ way of model generat...
متن کاملAdaptive and intelligent control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using a combination of fuzzy logic and gray wolf algorithm under fault condition
Nowadays, permanent magnet synchronous motors have been widely used in industry due to the elimination of excitation losses, longer life and higher efficiency. Errors in engine and drive systems are unavoidable during operation. Therefore, a suitable scenario should be considered for when these systems fail. If the necessary predictions and control algorithms are not considered for the error co...
